Your privacy matters. This page explains, in plain terms, what data is (and isn’t) collected when you visit this website and when you get in touch.

Who is responsible

Personal data is handled by Heather Catherine, sexologist, in Lisbon, Portugal. For any privacy-related question, you can contact me at heather@heathercatherine.com.

What this website collects

This is an informational website. It does not use tracking cookies and there are no forms or user accounts.

For visitor statistics I use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly tool that is cookieless and does not collect any personal data or build a profile of you. It only counts aggregate, anonymous information such as page views and the country a visit came from.

Like any website, the hosting provider (Cloudflare) may also process basic technical data — such as your IP address — in its server logs, for the time strictly needed to keep the site secure and running. This data is not used to identify you and is not linked to you.

When you contact me

If you reach out by email or WhatsApp, I receive whatever information you choose to share (for example, your name, contact details and your message). I use it only to reply to you and, if you go ahead, to arrange our sessions. The legal basis for this is your consent and the steps taken at your request prior to providing the service.

These messages are kept only for as long as they are needed for that purpose and are treated with full confidentiality. Anything discussed in sessions is additionally covered by professional confidentiality.

Sharing your data

Your data is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing. WhatsApp and the email provider I use process messages as service providers, in line with their own privacy policies.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access your data, correct it, request its deletion, object to its processing, or withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, simply email me at heather@heathercatherine.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD).

Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top will always reflect the current version.
